Yvon R. Baribeau, MD obtained his medical diploma from
the University of Montreal in 1981 and finished his residency
in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Notre-Dame hospital.
He then went on to University of California Irvine for a research
fellowship, and then to the University of Toronto for a clinical
fellowship. He is Board certified in Vascular and Thoracic
Surgery through the American Boards of Surgery and
Thoracic Surgery and through The Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is a member
of The Society of Thoracic Surgery, Fellow of The American
College of Surgeons and member of The Canadian Society
for Vascular Surgery, The Eastern Vascular Society and
The New England Society for Vascular Surgery. He has
strong interest in stroke prevention in cardiac surgery
and all aspects of minimally invasive cardiac,
vascular and thoracic surgery.
